For this speculative Olympic branding project, I chose Salzburg, Austria—a city rich in culture, surrounded by the Alps, and well-suited for winter sports like skiing, snowboarding, and ice skating. Salzburg’s musical heritage as Mozart’s birthplace, along with its Baroque architecture and ties to The Sound of Music, offer strong cultural touchpoints. The emblem draws inspiration from alpine snow trails and integrates the Olympic rings. A color palette of red and white (from the Austrian flag), cool blues and silvers (for winter), and accents of gold (symbolizing excellence) reflects both national pride and the spirit of the Games.
