This hypothetical store is based on Joann’s Fabric Store, but I gave it a more whimsical feel. I picked a mouse for the main logo because of Cinderella. She had mice helping her sew, and I loved that connection. It felt like a fun way to bring in a bit of storytelling and magic. I kept the colors pretty muted so they wouldn’t clash with the bright, colorful fabrics the store would sell. I wanted the logo to feel soft and supportive, not overwhelming. The mouse’s ears are shaped like buttons, and the needle he’s holding threads the type through the eye of the needle, like real thread would. That was a fun little detail to tie everything together with the sewing theme.
